I'm sorry that kinder Americans have been too far and few between in your life. Prejudicial comments are very hurtful, damaging to the spirit. You must always know your value as a human and be proud of the heritage you carry. Never take to heart what ignorant, boisterous people say. Too many people are just plain wrong, and loud about it. Maybe the kind of folks who are caring toward you or interested in you are on the quiet side, and have never made themselves known to you. Surely there are more who, given the opportunity, would be a friend to you, I hope they come into your life to bring and share enrichment.
I'm disappointed that people call the Chinese terrorists, some people really like to stir up trouble with their mouths. I hear every peoples who aren't very light called dirty, and have heard that since I was young. I hate it, it's nasty to say things like that.
Stay tough in your spirit. Blessings on you and your household.

I'm an American and I've never had these feelings toward Chinese people. I've actually worked with a couple of guys from Hong Kong and we have become pretty good friends. By the way, I'm in Southern California.

You're stereotyping....Do some people you know in LA dislike some of your Chinese friends?
I never realized that Americans don't like people from China...in fact, I disagree with your statement, I have two children from China, and we know quite a few families with children from China.

It has nothing to do with you. I'm part Chinese myself. People in the Seattle, WA, USA area have been racist towards me because the manufactuing jobs were sent to China. These jobs gave their American employees many benefits, including health insurance and retirement funds.
The people who are at fault for this are the greedy corporations and President Bush, who allowed the greed by giving tax incentives to businesses who shipped jobs overseas.
Instead of putting their energy in politics and fighting for laws to protect small Amercian business, these angry people [who lost their jobs] just want someone to blame for their problems.

Sadly, you live in Los Angeles, which is hardly a demographic representation of America. You live in an area that's big on appearance and not big on compassionate friendship.
As far as race goes, I like meeting people from different cultures and races. I don't get to meet many where I live, but I still like to meet them. :-)

Do not let the comments of narrow-minded ignorant people bring you down. The world is full of people who love you for who you are. Just remember that..
