This happened in a camp I worked in a native girl, who did get paid for her company was held captive by a bunch of guys from an other province, they held her and used and abused her for a week, when she went to the police, they said you are a whore so you deserve it( no kidding)she said I was help and raped repeatedly. no dice said the police. so off she went, a few months later when these guys were going home for the holidays , and the plane was delayed 3 days Betty shows up on their door step and says OK fellows free Christmas gift for all those that want to indulge, of the crew 46 of the 48 guys got their oil changed by betty, as the plane flew overhead with all the men she sat in the coffee shop laughing her head off, What is so funny, I asked so she told me what had happened to her. Thats awful, yes she said it was but not near as awful when all their wives and girlfriends get a good case of gonorrhea. When the plane returned in two weeks Betty & I watched as those same guys got off the plane 7 never came back there were about 15 breakups, and 4 of them had assorted casts and bandages on their hides. Betty left town for a year as that was when thier contract came up.I respected Betty as she never tried to hide what she was, or what she did, It was just a job to her but her revenge was truly sweet. Also the 7 that never came back were fired as she told the head of the company what had happened and what she did as revenge

On Thanksgiving day (many many years ago) an ex and I were going to have dinner with his mother and stepfather.(We had been together 3 years). I asked for some gas money. He went insane and beat the hell out of me while I was driving the car (because he had spent all his money on drugs and didn't want to face his mother). I was pregnant. I jumped out of a moving car in 55 mile an hour traffic and ran like my @ss was on fire until someone physically grabbed me and put me in their car and drove me to the hospital. If a man even looks at me sideways now, I will f^ck him up so his own mother won't recognize him.

As a police officer I once had to count the stab wounds on a lady. She then pulled her pants to the side to show me where her husband had tried to rape her. They had both been drinking so she had no inhibitions about a male officer checking her wounds. There were no serious wounds and she refused treatment. I arrested her husband, and the next day she bailed him out and took him back. GIRLS GET A CLUE! If he does it once ,he'll do it again. Dump em and run the first time you get abused. Call the authorities, lock em up and throw away the key. You might be saving his next victim/girlfreind.

What is Domestic Violence?

Domestic violence can be defined as a pattern of behavior in any relationship that is used to gain or maintain power and control over an intimate partner.

Abuse is physical, sexual, emotional, economic or psychological actions or threats of actions that influence another person. This includes any behaviors that frighten, intimidate, terrorize, manipulate, hurt, humiliate, blame, injure or wound someone.

Domestic violence can happen to anyone of any race, age, sexual orientation, religion or gender. It can happen to couples who are married, living together or who are dating. Domestic violence affects people of all socioeconomic backgrounds and education levels.

Abuse In America:

4 million American women experience a serious assault by a partner during an average 12-month period.

On the average, more than three women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends every day.

92% of women say that reducing domestic violence and sexual assault should be at the top of any formal efforts taken on behalf of women today.

1 out of 3 women around the world has been beaten, coerced into sex or otherwise abused during her lifetime.

1 in 5 female high school students reports being physically and/or sexually abused by a dating partner. Abused girls are significantly more likely to get involved in other risky behaviors. They are 4 to 6 times more likely to get pregnant and 8 to 9 times more likely to have tried to commit suicide.

1 in 3 teens report knowing a friend or peer who has been hit, punched, slapped, choked or physically hurt by his/her partner.

Women of all races are equally vulnerable to violence by an intimate partner.

37% of all women who sought care in hospital emergency rooms for violence–related injuries were injured by a current or former spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend.

Some estimates say almost 1 million incidents of violence occur against a current or former spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend per year.

For 30% of women who experience abuse, the first incident occurs during pregnancy.

As many as 324,000 women each year experience intimate partner violence during their pregnancy.

Violence against women costs companies $72.8 million annually due to lost productivity.

74% of employed battered women were harrassed by their partner while they were at work.

Ninety-four percent of the offenders in murder-suicides were male.

Seventy-four percent of all murder-suicides involved an intimate partner(spouse, common-law spouse, ex-spouse, or boyfriend/girlfriend). Of these, 96 percent were females killed by their intimate partners.

Most murder-suicides with three or more victims involved a "family annihilator" -- a subcategory of intimate partner murder-suicide.Family annihilators are murderers who kill not only their wives/girlfriends and children, but often other family members as well, before killing themselves.

Seventy-five percent of murder-suicides occurred in the home.

How is your relationship? Does your partner:

Embarrass you with put-downs?

Look at you or act in ways that scare you?

Control what you do, who you see or talk to or where you go?

Stop you from seeing your friends or family members?

Take your money or Social Security check, make you ask for money or refuse to give you money?

Make all of the decisions?

Tell you that you’re a bad parent or threaten to take away or hurt your children?

Prevent you from working or attending school?

Act like the abuse is no big deal, it’s your fault, or even deny doing it?

Destroy your property or threaten to kill your pets?

Intimidate you with guns, knives or other weapons?

Shove you, slap you, choke you, or hit you?

Force you to try and drop charges?

Threaten to commit suicide?

Threaten to kill you?

If you answered 'yes' to even one of these questions,
you may be in an abusive relationship. For support and more information please call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or at TTY 1-800-787-3224.
