5 √(3x - 2) - 3 = 7

5 √(3x - 2) = 10

√(3x - 2) = 2

3x - 2 = 4

3x = 6

x = 2

Check:

5 √(3(2) - 2) - 3 = 7

5 √4 - 3 = 7

5(2) - 3 = 7

10 - 3 = 7

first move the 3 to the other side then divide by 5

now you get the √(3x - 2 = 2

take the square and you get 3x-2=4

3x=6

x=2

ya. Add three on both sides to get 5*SQRT(3x-2) = 10
Divide by 5 to get SQRT(3x-2)=2
Square both sides to get 3x-2 = 4
You should be good from there.
