Are they actually doing it?? It's really hard to tell whether there's actual penetration or not.

No, it's all simulated. If there is actual penetration, this gets the movie an X rating and it cannot be shown on cable. There have been pay-per-view shows that have shown penetration, but they have to be pay-per-view. Even the "adult channels" don't show penetration, although some of the movies are cleverly edited X-rated ones.

It's possible. You'd know for certain on DVDs or videos. The not knowing is what makes it "soft" core.
