warmings of the past. For instance the end of the ice age? There were no cars, no factories, etc...Did the men of old burn too many bonfires? And what about the unusually cold temps in California which is threatening the citrus crops? Is this evidence of global warming?

I'm all for cleaning up pollution, but isn't global warming being blamed on mankind just hype?

Where was the US government during the end of the last ice age?
How do you explain the global warming that occured then?
Perhaps, we shouldn't just believe everything we read

Yes it nothing but hype from bleeding heart liberal communists. If you look at the larger scale and the cycle of events of warming and cooling we actually heading into an ice age. There are been more release of carbon dioxide from volcanoes in the early years of the Earth than we have now. Get ready for the ice age.

You know what? I really miss here in Romania, in its middle heart meaning Transylvania the hard snowing winters from the past. If i remember properly only one winter season was so dry with no flake to stay on the ground without melting or just be there. When I sow some news from "sunny California" with snow that even in my county couldn't find (only in north-eastern parts closer to Russia) i thought that was a Sci Fie movie with apocalyptic predictions, like so many others made by Hollywood. I was really astonished why in my country in the middle of the January are temperatures outside like in March-April (somewhere close to 55 F-60F). And it's keeping it like this for a whole month or so.
Some meteorologist say that if in some part of the globe is cold (like USA) in the other must be vice-versa (like Europe).
Probably is due to the pollution made by the human kind not in just 30-50 years but even in 100, due to the industrialization period in which they started burning coal without any of environmental rules.
I believe that's true, even though some experts say that ice age and the big meltdown (like i am talking about a cartoon :P) meaning the end of it happened by natural causes.

Global warming being blamed on mankind is not just hype. Many people use the argument that it is just another cycle of the earth- but earth has been the warmest in the last few decades since recordes have existed. This had not happened at this rate before so it is not just another cycle.

If most scientists disagree with you, are you sure you are not just jumping on the neo-Luddite bandwagon along with ExxonMobil, Bush and the rest of the neo-con group? Remember, every case of global warming had some root cause. Nothing in this universe is without cause. Kind of makes sense that millions of automobiles and countless factory emissions might be the latest "cause". Whadda ya think? Maybe? My motto in life is to watch motive. If you look at the motive of everyone who denies the human causation of global warming, it is inevitably financial. They don't want to lose their livelihood so they swear up and down that the truth is untrue (despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary).

It's true that the earth has had a tendency to go in cycles of warming and cooling, but you're missing a lot of the other facts.

Carbon dioxide is a substance that traps heat inside the earth's atmosphere, and studies of earth's climate over time show a distinct correlation between the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere and the temperature of the earth, namely that when CO2 levels rise, so does the earth's temparature.

Now, CO2 levels are at the highest they've been since as far back as scientists have been able to track it, and the earth's temparature has subsequently also been as high as it's been since scientists can trace it.

Since CO2 levels are at their highest ever during the time when human CO2 production is at its highest ever it falls to reason that perhaps one is a cause of the other, eh?

SHH! They'll hear you. You are not allowed to make sense and ask those kind of questions.

You bring up an excellent point. History repeats itself seems like a better explanation than global warming.

Your question is fairly debatable. you will get different solutions from different human beings. right here is my answer, in line with my learn. in the beginning, they used to call it "international Warming" yet now, as you will discover in Obama's speech, they call it "climate replace." the reason for that's because of the fact many scientists do not agree that there is one among those element as international Warming. if certainty be told, the information got here out some months in the past that over the final ten years the planet's propose temperature has actual dropped, somewhat than extra suitable.to that end, the call replace. Many scientists think of climate replace is brought about by growing to be CO2 tiers interior the ambience. those growing to be tiers, they say, is simply by fossil gasoline burning--the oil we burn to run our automobiles and warmth our homes, and so on. notwithstanding if, different scientists element to the actuality that interior the historic previous of earth, hundreds and thousands and thousands of years in the past, there is been situations while CO2 tiers have been lots bigger than they're immediately. for sure automobiles and heated homes weren't around thousands and thousands of years in the past. the final analysis is, no person is conscious notwithstanding if climate replace is brought about by human beings. Many scientists have confidence lots extra learn desires to be executed to respond to the question.
