Forrest Gump, obviously. You should not be comparing Forrest Gump with the other two commercial movies. I do not tell Titanic and Avatar as commercial because of their revenue. (in that case, Forrest Gump also is in the Top 20 all time best revenues). Titanic and Avatar contain so many scenes that are made just to satisfy the audiences of different ages and expectations. Forrest Gump is a movie that teaches us how to live an ideal and easy life like that Feather shown in first and last scene. It is the best movie ever made. I don't think Robert Zemeckis would have thought about attracting the audience while making the movie.

Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival or Sloop John B by the Beach Boys. Those are the songs that are played when forest and bubba first meet lt. dan.

I believe the songs during the Vietnam scenes were:

"Fortunate Son" Creedence Clearwater Revival
"Break on Through (To The Other Side)" The Doors
""Turn! Turn! Turn!" The Byrds
"Soul Kitchen" - The Doors
"Hello I Love You" - The Doors
"All Along the Watchtower" - Jimi Hendrix
"Hey Joe" - Jimi Hendrix

The CD's are available. Great set. But I can't think what song you mean. Since it's in 'nam, it might be Fortunate Son by CCR or For What It's Worth by Buffalo Springfield or even Get Together by The Youngbloods.

Check out the Forrest Gump CD soundtrack (double disc). It's sure to be on there.

I watched it last night. I believe you mean the song Fortunate Son by CCR....

"It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't so senator's son..."

It was playing when they arrived in Vietnam.
