It is too dangerous to be attempting to lose weight right now. Your baby and you need lots of nutrition. Wait until after the baby is born to diet and exercise.

If you are absolutely set on loosing weight the best way is to water fast for 2-4 days, then eat NORMAL or MORE than normal for 3-4 days and repeat. If have done this before it is very healthy. It is natural for animals to fast if they are injured or ill and your infants handle this well. For most of humanities history it was not at all uncommon to have trouble finding food for a couple days. You should definitely NOT take any kind of stimulant or appetite suppressant because this can screw with your babies development. You should also and without question NOT go on the highly recommended (by others that watch too much tv and subscribe to second rate health mags) calorie restriction or food-type restriction (low protien or high protien or whatever) diets. Calorie restriction is what humans experience during extended droughts and famines. This tells your body to SHUT DOWN and will screw with your baby.
Brief periods of fasting will have no or temporary effect on metabolism.
All that said, please just let yourself get fat. Unless you have to loose some pounds to avoid delivery complications.
By the way, 60 pounds in six months is almost but not quite entirely not possible. Thats 10 pounds a month, more than 2 pounds a week. This could be risky even if you were not pregnant. Please dont try this while you are.

Why may I ask are you trying to lose weight?
Losing 60 pounds in 6 months is not healthy unless under a doctors supervision while not pregnant. A healthy choice is 5 pounds a month for a non-pregnant woman.
So not know why your doing this I would just say to contact your doctor about a exercise routine to keep you and your baby healthy.

As everyone else has said...now is NOT the time to attempt to lose weight.
But, now is a good a time as any to start making some lifestyle changes that ultimately will make weight loss easier after you've have your baby. Start eating healthier. This doesn't mean limiting yourself to salads and low-calorie TV dinners. You can still eat something with lots of fat and calories in it, as long as it provides a decent amount of nutritional value. Lots of people fall into the trap of obsessing solely over calories. Foods high in calories are okay, as long as they're not "empty calories" that only do your body harm, and no good. Also, start exercising. NO, NOT STRENUOUS exercising...maybe just walking 30 minutes a day. Eating more nutritional food and starting a mild exercise program will be good for you AND your baby. And while you certainly won't lose weight while you're still pregnant, getting yourself started in a new lifestyle will make it easier to lose weight once you've had your child.

If you are obese, then losing weight before you are pregnant is good. During is hard to say. First of all losing 10 lbs. a month is a lot even if your not pregnant. To be on the safe side, I would consult a medical professional.
But i can tell you this, you will burn at least 500 calories a day if you breastfeed you baby. It's the fastest way to loose the baby weight and its good for the baby too!

Losing that much weight that quickly is dangerous even when you aren't pregnant. Trying to lose weight when pregnant will only put the health of both you and your baby in serious jeopardy. If you eat healthfully and exercise moderately, it's quite possible you won't put on much weight while pregnant, heavier women often don't. And if you breastfeed your baby, you'll probably lose a lot of weight with little effort.

There really isn't a safe way. What you could do is try and maintain your weight for the first trimester. After that you don't have to much control. If your over weight try not to gain more than 20 pounds. After the baby is born than diet.

You need to worry about having a healthy pregnancy and trying to loose weight while pregnant is NOT a good idea. Lose weight after the baby is born!

This is not the time to lose weight. This is the time to stay healthy for your baby. When you dont eat the baby does not eat. YOu should of thought about losing the weight before you decided to bring a baby into the world. Wait till after the baby then go on a diet. Talk to your doctor they will tell you the same thing. it really upsets me you would put your baby in danger or possibly kill the baby from not giving it nutrients. Or maybe this is what you are trying to do.

are you retarded? you're going to have to wait until after the baby is born and done nursing before you lose 60lbs! You can certainly do your best to limit the weight you gain to a healhty amount - if you're overweight/obese now, gaining just 15lbs is a must --- some obese women lose some weight - but generally it's muscle weight that's lost during pregnancy.
Do your baby a favor and stay the same weight if not gain 15lbs and then place the baby for adoption. you're obviously not a mother.
