I assume you don't have any sleeping aids in your room or you would have taken them- so turn the laptop off, go to your medicine cabinet- do you have cold syrup? Take the allowed dosage of that- of if you have Benadryl? take the allowed dosage of that- and if you don't have either of them, drive yourself to an all night drugstore and get tylenol pm- it's over the counter- it is only benadryl- you can go to an all night walmart and get their generic tablets- 1.99 for I think 20 take two and sweet dreams.........

Ps- don't drink caffeine after 6 pm if you have trouble sleeping.

first of all get off the computer, the lights in the screen for tv. or monitor for a computer sends a message to your brain telling it to stay awake, along with any other light in the room. Try meditating with your eyes open or just sit with your eyes open in the dark and you will start to feel sleepy.

good luck.
also avoid watching tv or computer half an hour before bed.the screens make your brain think you need to stay up.

i also have the same problem and i solved it by buying the new pillow.
it is not any pillow it is "the" pillow.
made in china (u but) and it is fairly cheap (forgot how much though)
what makes it special is that there is a section in one side of the pillow which filled with tea leaves (smell like green tea) said to improve the quality of sleep.
i got the brand name but it's in chinese, which read "TIAN SHU"

Try turning off the computer, take a melatonin with chamomille tea and think about how nice it will be to work binary math to talk to your computer or how much you would like to speak to Chaucer. zzzzzzz!

Take 3 deep breaths, then continue to breathe slowly, concentrate on your breathing. It won't take long. Turn off the t.v. and any other distraction. Don't give up.

If chamomile or peppermint tea can't help you, look for a doc and ask for a prescription (blue pill).
