A white biker was tasered 'multiple times', then shot four times , point blank. No one suggested it was a racist act. Al Sharpton didn't show up to protest injustice. Don't cheapen a man's life by playing racist politics with his death.
Answer: Cops are like everyone else. Some are dedicated public servants, and some are just bullies and hustlers in uniform. Each PD has a policy in place designed to protect their brother officer from bogus accusations. Sometimes this galls us civilians.
And you are right. Officers who misuse their badge are lower than pimps.

Unfortunately, people of color want cops arrested for anything they do. so everything has to be investigated and your quick judgements put aside. After all Tawana Brawley ruined some people's lives and that was the plan right? Or how about the white off-duty cop that ran over a black ems worker and killed him. The cop did nothing wrong the ems guy ran into the street. An unfortunate accident that people screamed the cop should be brought up on murder charges. For what? When people stop screaming racial bias things won't be so difficult. Those cops did not go looking to shoot a black man. But apparently the fact that bell used his car for a weapon seems to be forgotten.

First off, the details of this case are sketchy at best. You weren't there, so you don't know. The only people who do know are the ones involved. Personally, most police officers don't start shooting unless they have a reason.
Secondly, unless you put yourself in a police officers position, you will NEVER respect what its like to be in a job like that.
Third, the punishment may have been light (like I said, without all of the details, it is difficult to tell), but some of those officers may be going through more mental anguish than you realize. Stuff like this stays with many of them, and it haunts them.
Last, I hear a lot of people who are quick to judge officers without the slightest hesitation, but when they are in trouble, they call the police and expect them to be right there that instant. Police officers get so little respect. I highly recommend you get to know a few and ask them what their jobs are like. I think you'll see things in a new light.

many cops will lie... and if anyone here wants to say different then go play in traffic... i have always thought the police would never lie, but truth is they are people too... i sat in court while a cop lied under oath!!... and yes i know he lied, because i was there as he was not, he showed up after the incident.... as for cops shooting for no reason?... im sorry but i highly doubt an officer will put innocent people at risk just because hes "racist"... there has to be a reason why.... if you werent there than you cant say weather there was a fourth man.... they saw danger and took action

Because they know that they've abused the law and they don't want to lose the job that they don't even deserve in the first place.
