Check out Microsoft's Local.live.com, http://local.live.com/. In some cities you can get something called a Bird's Eye View, which is essentially close-up aerial photos of an area.

Google Maps, http://maps.google.com/, is also really good for online maps.

If you're not sure who will have the best image, try Flash Earth, http://www.flashearth.com/, it allows you to switch between a few different image providers.

mapquest.com and google.com/maps are good to finding directions and u can zoom in to check out the surrounding streets with names and all. I'm not sure if this works outside the US though.

If u want an aerial picture, there's always google earth, which has pretty much pictures of the whole planet. The only thing is that populated areas get clearer pictures (to a point where u can see cars) than less populated areas.

Well, let's hit up Yahoo! Maps to find the dopest route. I prefer Mapquest. (That's a good one, too.) Google maps is the best. True that. (Double true!)
