Menopause hits anytime after 35 though most doctors don't believe it is true menopause until you are at least 40 but it is genetic, so if your mom went through it early, chances are you will too. That doesn't mean that's what's going on with you. You may have a build up of the lining of the uterus, and that is because the periods have been getting less each month and that causes less to bleed each month- only the "new" tissue sloughs off- see your gynecologist- you may just need a D&C- which is a simple procedure- I had 2, they put you to sleep, scrape you clean - you don't feel a thing during and nothing after-- then you go home-- your periods will return to normal with a month....good luck to you......call your doc tomorrow..........

You might be . They make a test that you can take just like a pregnancy test now . You should go buy one of those and put your mind at ease even though you probably don't want to know .

Could be, you don;t state your age and your avatar doesnt indicate how old you might be either!

Hot flushes without warning, diminished bleeds, missed periods. Ohh you lucky woman its coming to an end for you!

Only a blood test can determine that.
