I really like this band, so I have pictures of them EVERYWHERE. None of my friends like the band, as a matter of fact, they dont even like the same type of music as me! Most of my friends talk about me behind my back and say that I need to grow up and that I am obsessed, just because I have so many pictures of the band. I hear this from my other friends who tell me. I feel completly alone. Most people who have an "obsession" have friends who share it with them, but I don't. Sometimes now when I even think about my friends I cry. I live in a small town so it isnt like I can just leave my friends and meet new people because I know all the people in my town. I like other bands too, so it is not like I am even that obsessed. I dont know what to do! I need help. What should I do?

Be yourself. Your friends are your fiends even if your taste in music sucks (or theirs does). Don't try to alter your taste to fit their ideals. All music has something to offer so enjoy yours. Chances are a few years from now the posters will come down anyway. Listen to their favorite bands and try out a few other types of music. But if your favorite band moves you for God's sake don't abandon that feeling to match the norm. Embrace the music that stirs you inside. It's probably not truly an obsession if your not stalking them or under restraining order
