FAC stands for "Forward Air Controller" . I don't know why you have that associated with warships. An FAC calls in airstrikes on the ground in combat.

The only thing I found in acronym finder that might fit was "Fast Attack Craft"

fast attack craft.....ships usually about 110-150 feet, good for 35-50 knots, armed with an auto cannon and surface to surface missiles, the 21st century version of the WW2 PT or MTB/MGB or S Boat....is the right answer.
