This is going to sound racist. But I am so shocked at some things that I am reading. So many whites are saying that they are victims of affirmative action and racism. Whites are upset because they cannot go around and say the N word without consequence. Whites are upset over BET. There is a problem with everything. If we drive nice cars.Problem. If we drive ugly cars.problem. If we like rap music. problem. If we do not like rap music.problem. If we speak well.problem. If we do not speak well.problem. Then arguments that hold no validity like slave cards and the man, come one. Wasn't that a TV comedy? What is up? I am not trying to be a racist, but don't you know that if you look for bad things then you will find it? I know that I am going to get some answers from behind the monitor racists, but maybe I will get some good answers that will help me to understand this?

I agree, white people are always talking about people playing certain "cards", and they don't even realize that they play many of them themselves.

White people are sometimes a victim of racism due to affirmative action. A white can be more qualified for a job but the minority people get it because a certain percentage of a business must be of a minority race. If this is not racism what is?
Blacks call each other n i g g a but if a white pronounces it with an r it is a race crime. We don't understand the difference. Whites upset over BET?...pft...whatever. I have never known a white person that cared about BET one way or another. The rest of what you think is reality is nothing more than ignorance on your part. You are simply categorizing white people. Sure, some white people will fit your vision but not all. Not by a long way. I myself see people for what they do and not by the color of there skin. To inform you further, my own belief is that the term n dictates an attitude and not a skin color. Anyone that would put a cap in me is a n as far as I care. There are plenty of whites that are willing to do this as well as Hispanics and Asians. As far as if you look for bad you will find it I believe that you are right on the mark. The best example I can offer is this: I live in a Mobile Home Trailer Park yet I do not have tatoos, a mullet hair style, nor do I drink an excessive amount of beer! I am not any more of a scum type than you are.
I hope I didn't come across as a racist any more than you did. I have had plenty of people involved in my life that I considered a friend that were black.

Girl please you're obviously making your opinion on the hand full of blacks you know IF you've gotten to know any. And if you as well as anybody else regardless of race feel like they're victims to anything then take action to do something about it. Don't sit there and impose how you feel that all blacks feel on everybody else because of your obvious bad experience. Because if you drive a nice car I'm happy for you, if you drive a ugly car then i should hope the lord will bless you with another one. And i sure as heck don't give a crap what kind of music anyone listens to it's their freaking choice. I wasn't a slave so why should i put that kind of fault on anybody. And as far as the N word why should anybody be allowed to call anybody regardless of race or whatever out of their name. I don't think you would like it if someone called you a b*tch because it's not your name so same goes for that. So you need to take the time like some of these wanna be Klan's on here to get to know more than a hand full of blacks and like i said,"If you know any at all." And do have a nice day!

I'm not sure where you're getting your information. I'm white, and I don't run around saying the 'N word', least of all without expectation of consequence. Neither do I think any less of people of other races in general or for the cars they drive or the music they listen to, etc. For that matter, I don't know a whole lot of other white people who are like that, either.

As for the 'victim card', I guess there are some of us that do that, though most of what you mentioned shouldn't make anyone feel like a victim. Me, I'm getting pretty damn tired of people assuming I'm racist because I'm white, and it strikes me as double standards that people of other races can say whatever they please about white people without consequence. Then again, you can call me a honky or whatever, and it doesn't offend me. Get it out of your system, then we can be friends. :)

Whites playing the victim card? LMAO, you racists never quit do you? I don't care if you want to use the N word.. I don't want to use that tacky word. I don't care if you have BET, it doesn't appeal to me. I could care less what car you drive. I don't care what music you like. I don't care how you speak. What slave cards and what man are you talking about? Affirmative action is reverse discrimination.. that's the problem, we aren't consumed with your life like you think we are. It's when you can't get a scholarship, into a school, or get a job because you are white that it becomes a problem. My friend wanted a certain job and on the ad for the job it encouraged women and minorities to apply, he's a white male... so guess what, he knew he wouldn't get that job walking into it. Don't call the people who will attack your comment racist... if you make racist remarks prepare to be attacked for it. And if people want to stand up for themselves you have no right to label it racist just because it is coming from white people, that is racist coming from you.

I am a white male I don't use the n bomb, my girlfriend would probably hit me (I was raised in the south) all i ever heard growing up was the n word not black person. but how is alright for black people to use towards one another it's like me calling someone a cracker it's a derogatory word regardless of how it's intended.
if you don't speak well, well that is a problem it's a simple matter of respect for yourself and the people your talking to ever have a deep conversation with a 6yr old? no they aren't educated enough to speak properly but you get taught in school. My girlfriend works as a server in a restaurant and has had tables were the people ask her rudely here's a true time
customer 18-25 yr old black male "why you talk like that girl?"
her "talk like what?"
customer " You talkin like a white folk, trying to be like them"
her "oh, you mean because my parents taught me to talk properly, and cause I'm educated" they didn't leave her a tip so who's racist on that end of the deal

i'm white and i think that white people have a privelage in life that we don't even know we have. we are used to being treated certain ways, etc.. and so when we aren't treated in that way...it's so rare that we are shocked by it and want to crumple into a little ball and cry...so to speak. so when something even slightly "unfair" happens to us, like affirmative action, we get all mad about it...because we don't realize that other races are treated unfairly every day, even in the simplest of tasks.

also...everyone is different, races have their own types of culture, and the culture of white people and black people can sometimes be different. so sometimes, it's not about the race, it's the action of the culture.

and...i don't know anyone who says the N word and expects no consequences. maybe it's because they hear african americans say it and in some crazy way, they think it's ok? i don't know.

every race has it's bad and good people. what I mean is that when you hear that someone who is white feels that they have been a victom of racism it might be true. there are people from other ethinic backgrounds that do feel like thay can say anything thay want to a white person because it's not like anyone will be as offendet for it. don't get me wrong thought I feel that racism is a big issue in this country that has to stop NOW!

I am white and do not play the 'victim card'. I have only said the N word once back in Jr High. I am 38 now. I do not care about BET. I do not care what kind of car you drive. I drive a beat up POS, but I do not care it runs good. I do not care what kind of music you like or do not like. It sounds like you are trying to generalize ALL whites into one category. I judge people by their personality and actions. Not by the color of their skin.

you know honestly, i feel the same way about certain individuals from every race. i think that the attitude that you are projecting with your stereotypical description of how "whites" act is just as bad! i for one, am tired of conversation, discussion, and celebration of what makes us different as people and would rather focus on what makes us the same. i think that although black people had a horrible past in this country with regard to slavery, segragation, and general discrimination, things are starting to even out for every race. btw, i dont know any white ppl who are mad because they cant say the N word. lol.
you keep saying that you dont mean to sound racist, but you are. flip it~ if a "white" person wrote this about another race, what would you think???
you should speak about individuals, not the masses.

sturdy analogy with the guy/women historic previous month. in element of certainty that the occasion is to have fun that people who have been oppressed at the instant are not from now on oppressed. In Germany they have a Jewish week (even thou Jews are predominately white) simply by fact they have been the oppressed class in that u . s .. i don't instruction manual myself to assert that's racism or not based those issues.
