I have an abusive boyfriend and he took my car... it is on my name and I have to go to work tomorrow... If I call the cops on him what will happen? He probably is drinking and will get here very late... he always gets here. What should I do?

Call the cops and if they find him they will arrest him...sometimes they will call you to come get your car. Then you need to turn your back on your boyfriend and dont look back...he is bad for you and will only hold you back in life_

If your boyfriend took your car without permission and you want it back report it stolen. They will put a look out for the vehicle he will be arrested when he is found in it. This action will do two very possitive things for you, you will have taken back control without the show of violence, with the proper authorities, and it will tell him this type of behavior will not be tolerated by you. If he doesn't shape up, for goodness sake get rid of him. You do not need someone around to mistreat you or your belongings and zap your positive energies. Find a good man who will help you build you up not tear you down. Sounds harsh, but would you rather be abused? He cannot do what you won't allow him to do.
P.S. After seeing other advices given please disregard sugar bear's don't call the cops advice, you will not have to pay impound fees etc, on a reported stolen car. If the boyfriend goes to jail for stealing your car what's the problem .... he made the choice, let him face the music he made. YOu didn't do it he did it to himself, don't protect him ... protect you !!!!!

Don't call the cops on him, because they will go out & look for him, if they catch him & he's drunk, he will get arrested & charged for DUI if he's driving your car drunk (which ain't your problem) but whar will be your problem is that they will IMPOUND your car & you will have to pay lots of money to get it back (such as tow, the impound fee, the storage & probably other hidden fees on top of that). You should just wait till he gets back since you said he always gets there, but when he gets back you should take the keys away & never, ever let him borrow it again. Lending your car to other people (no matter who it is) puts you at a risk. You are responsible for everything that happens whenever someone borrows it, it's worse if they are not covered under your insurance policy. You could end up with alot of problems regarding this. You have to be smart, I know you love your boyfriend but he shouldn't be borrowing your car, especially when he goes out drinking. And if he's out drinking, then why doesn't he have you there with him as a designated driver. It sounds like he's using you. He should have his own car, otherwise.....your better off finding a new man who's got some directions in life, a man who is responsible enough to know not to drink & drive. Most importantly....a man who will respect you enough to not use you for your car. LOVE IS BLIND. wake up & smell the coffee.

You have any men in your family that can help you out? Maybe call the cops and ask them what will happen, or what your options are - they are the ones that can answer the question for where you live. Don't let them talk you into something you don't want to do, but they should be able to tell you what they can do without actually doing anything.

Call the cops girl! You have bills to pay and u need your car to get to work so you can pay for them! Then press charges after calling the cops, leave him for GOOD and move on with your life! You dont need to be abused in anyway!

they will charge him with Grand Theft Auto.. or wait until he crashes it and say that you didn't know he took it but they will look on your computer and read this... If you know he is drinking and your bf is abusive you should call the cops... let them get rid of him for you.

call the cops they will probaly arrest him for DWI and you will get ur car back then get rid of the dude what u waitin for
