If I understand you correctly, you are talking about the move Breakfast at Tiffany's.

The "hit" song from that movie is Moon River.

It was written by Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer. Mancini wrote the music to the song, and Mercer wrote the lyrics.

In the movie, during the fire escape scene, Audrey Hepburn sings the song, but it in America, it was Andy Williams who made it famous, and ultimately it became his theme song.

Now there was also a song called "Breakfast at Tyffany's,"

The song, written in 1995 is a vague reference to the movie, in that the male in the song thinks that since they both liked Breakfast at Tiffany's, that should be enough reason for he and his lady friend to work things out.

The band that wrote this song is called Deep Blue Something.

I hope that one of those answers helps you out.

They were called the Deep Blue Something's, its one of my favourite songs too.

Deep Blue Something Lyrics - Breakfast at Tiffany's

You say that we've got nothing in common
No common ground to start from
And we're falling apart
You'll say the world has come between us
Our lives have come between us
But I know you just dont care
And I said "What about Breakfast at Tiffany's?"
She said, "I think I remember the film,
And as I recall, I think we both kinda liked it."
And I said, "Well, thats the one thing we've got."
I see you - the only one who knew me,
And now your eyes see through me
I guess I was wrong
So what now? It's plain to see we're over,
And I hate when things are over -
When so much is left undone.
