What a bunch of mental midgets!!!

How can anyone equate any sort of liberalism with Communism? NOT THE SAME THING!
How can anyone equate socialism with Communism? NOT THE SAME THING!

Communism as an economic philosophy has not worked anywhere, and I really thought that we had stopped worrying about it sometime during the 70s. I keep reading all the paranoid nuts out there who fear Communism, Muslims and God only knows what else, and I think, "Get a life!" Worry about people in this country dying because of not having health care. Worry about a "war" being fought against Heaven only knows who, to "protect" our freedom(?freedom to get oil??) Worry about the rich getting richer and the poor dying. Worry about yourself and your own neighbors!!

Communism didn't work. (Well, maybe, in a tiny little country like Cuba...)It cannot "take over". There is no "wave" because, except for the Chinese, no one believes in it any longer!

PS It takes just one question like this to have the bigots rise to the surface, though, doesn't it? What was that crack about minorities???

I'm going to be laughing at all of you people when you decide to leave the country and live off the lands around you because you think the Communists have arrived. You'll probably be wrong, and then while you attempt to make a new life for yourself on the streets, I'll be retired and on vacation in the Canaries.

What a facetious question.

Really, it could happen, because of peak oil and other resources. Communism and socialism work best with scarcities, while capitalism works best with abundance. The world's oil production looks like it is about to peak. After that, it will decline rapidly, and that could result in rationing and state regulation of the distribution of oil products and other resources. Already Cuba is a country, a Communist country, where this is happening. They have not had much oil for over a decade because the Soviets ceased to exist and the US continues its embargo.

That wave has long since left the beach. I think Cuba is the only comunist country outside East Asia.

We stopped it in the 1980's buddy! Don't think for one second we won't stop you reds from trying it again! Ronald Reagan is one main reason the Domino Effect wasn't so successful!

As an ideology and way of life, communism is dead. Even China and Vietnam are slowly but surely becoming capitalistic. Your hero Che' was a terrorist - why idolize such an ****** as that?

If the Democrats can hold on to a solid power grip for 15-20 years, it's possible. Socialists are even getting elected now.
