It really depends on how you define honesty. In other words, if someone were to try and make you feel bad about something that you were not responsible for, would you want to take the burden from all the abuse that was actually started by someone else, even if they pounced on you for making you feel bad for their actions in order to make an example of themselves while they glorified themselves at your expense? Here's another example- you see a rock lying on the ground and you think it is solid. You honestly think it's a rock but someone else comes along and discovers it is a piece of ice that looks like a diamond and sells it to someone for one million dollars while they make a joke out of you for not recognizing it as a piece of ice in the first place. They convince everyone that you're an idiot and no-one ever wants to deal you you ever again and you honestly realize that it is a piece of ice. Would you be willing to put up with what you thought was honest or would you rather get your life back and accept the truth that someone took advantage of you and ruined your life!

Irrespective of the age, the world or the times we are living in, it is the best policy especially in difficult times. Whatever our forefathers said is not gone. It is still very true and it gives good results as well.
Imagine you are in a tight corner, don't know what to do, Try it and I assure you, you will come out smiling.
