yet no Sport Championship from any of the 4 major sports
(baseball, football, hockey, and basketball)........the last Championship was the 76ers in 1983........what are the reasons that a city like Philly hasn't won in 24 years?

Many say it's the jinx of William Penn. There was a law that no buildings were to be built higher than the hat of William Penn statue on top of City Hall (about 575 feet). That law was repealed in 1983, after the last time Philly won a title (Sixers). Since then a number of skyscrapers soar over the head of William Penn, and Philly has not won since.

I personally think Philly has had a lot bad luck and some bad owners......Harold Katz, Norman Braman.

I think it mainly has to do with bad luck, some may not agree with me, but it has to be that way, it might also have to do with them not winning the Championship itself, new and better players arent gonna want to come to a team that hasnt won a Championship in awhile...
