I'm 31 weeks pregnant with my third baby. At my 30 week appt the midwife said the baby is head down which is consistent with the movements I've been feeling. Over the weekend my belly/insides felt weird. I didn't feel sick to my stomach or anything, just didn't feel quite right plus the baby was moving a lot. Today I noticed that my belly is sitting a LOT lower than it was before now. With my first (born at 40.5 weeks) and second (born at 37.5 weeks) my babies didn't drop at all. Should I be concerned or alert the doctor at my next appointment? I've had a feeling for a long while that this baby will come earlier than my last. Also with my last one I went from 4-10cm in 25 minutes so length of labor is a bit of a concern.

have you lost the plug or felt any discomfort in your back? Any leakage, any of those symptoms with a dropped belly may mean any day now, as you may know third babies percentage wise come much faster than first babies, my babies dropped 2 weeks before actual onset of labor. So you may have more time than you think, just watch for any other symptoms and hane your doc on speed dial as well as the ambulance in case of fast onset of contractions.

I'm also 31wks and my baby had dropped at last wks appointment, which freaked me out coz i thought that meant id go early, but the midwife reassured me that its not uncommon for babies to drop early and that they could turn again before 34wks!!!
after 34wks its unlikely that baby will have room to turn fully.
if at any time you think labour has started contact the midwife/doctor or hospital just to be safe if you have a history of short labours. better safe than sorry x x x x

Sounds fairly traditional. You are both fairly energetic, accordingly inflicting your youngster to sleep plenty or simply no longer noticing. If you had been to simply lay at the sofa for a pair hours and awareness on it, you might in general consider her or him extra more commonly. Your youngster will have to make ten events in keeping with 2 hours. I had an illustration while I was once approximately six month preggo and I hadn't felt whatever all day lengthy. It scared me so I had my hubby take me to the clinic. Just as quickly because the hooked me as much as the screens, my lil one began kicking me like she was once combating with Jackie Chan! Anyways, I might advocate, if you're real involved, have your accomplice or a buddy take you in. The clinic employees is not going to brain and it is greater to appear dull since you overreacted then to remorse no longer moving into and whatever taking place for your youngster. Good success to you!

It sounds slightly early, but I am not a doc...Good for you for having a midwife!!! What does s/he think? I have heard that with each baby pregnancy seems to be shorter & labor faster! Good Luck!

Babies usually drop 2 - 3 weeks before being born. So I'd say pack your bag and be ready.

i wouldn't be to worried about it cause every birth and pregnancy are different. and as far as the belly droping that is normal your body is getting ready to give birth when it is the right time for he or she to come out.
