How many zombies? Zombies are easy to kill but always win due to sheer numbers.
The best Van Helsing can hope for is to either go onto a deserted island where they are no zombies (fat chance) or into space (yah right).
He can set off a nuclear explosion which would get rid of them but he would die in the process, which is not a victory.
He could set off a nuclear bomb from space but where would he get the technology?
Zombies would win.

Van Helsing will put up a great valiant effort. But he will be overrun with the zombies. But then lo and behold, his ex-wife comes and kills them all. He says, "I thought you hated me, especially after I cheated on you?" She says, "I know, but the sex was just so damn good" Then she gets pregnant and he cheats.
