I did some research on this but most sources say things like: "it's all about being able to market your degree" and "there's many jobs one can get".

That can be said about all degrees, but realistically what can one hope for with such a degree? Like is there any job where I can present my resume, and have a good chance of getting a job?

If the cold hard truth is that I cant expect to find anything better than someone with a GED than say so. I appreciate honesty.

I honestly don't think an AS degree is going to qualify you for any job in particular. If you apply for a job you are qualified for and have an AS degree and the other applicants don't , you might get the job instead of them.

I don't think AA's and AS's really hold much value in today's world where there are a lot of BA's and BS's out there competing for every job. It will definitely help, but I would suggest making it a long term goal to complete a 4 year degree.

You could search for jobs based on your qualifications on some of the major job websites like Hotjobs,Monster, Careerbuilder and post your resume on these job boards. You could also search for jobs on websites like Craigslist,Simplyhired and Indeed. More information available at http://tinyurl.com/emdyn

If the right people know you, I won't really matter. You could major in golf therapy, but if your uncle is the head of a fortune 500 company, you could very well find yourself as a young executive. It's about who you know, or better yet, who know's you
