Crazy, i had this conversation with a co-worker of mine yesterday.

I think the U.S. just needs to bud out of other countries and try to get everything under control here (re-build Katrina, over flow of illegals, getting our troops home, etc.) I know the U.S. is trying to form a democracy in Iraq, but we've got our own problems, that no one is helping US with.

It's all a matter of perspective. Political and economic gain. It all falls under the heading of "Foreign Interest." And, while everyone loves to paint America as the bad guy, those people also ignore either with great intent or out of sheer stupidity, that all of the major world powers have done this for centuries. Doesn't make it right, but basic facts. Colonialism of Africa and the Americas, the spread of both communism and democracy, etc., etc., etc..

Unfortunately, the public does not have enough influence, as being shown recently, to limit our representatives powers who seem to do things to benefit themselves instead of our country.

If it fills their pockets, they are indifferent to the quality of life in our own country.
