Egg-white cervical mucus (EWCM) is usually a sign of an increase in the estrogen hormone. This usually happens around the time of ovulation, but you don't necessarily have to ovulate just because there is EWCM. You can get EWCM and not ovulate. Having a biphasic bbt curve is a much better indicator of ovulation than EWCM. If you have a typical biphasic bbt curve that's the best indicator of ovulation.

In an ideal cycle you ovulate on the last day you have ewcm (so the fourth day for you).

I wondered that too, But to tell you the truth, the month that I was going to be working out of town during ovulation, so I was sure we wouldnt get pregnant was the month that we did. I know it is hard to relax like everyone tells you to, but I think it really works. It only took us 3 months, but it was a tough 3 months. I hope you are just as quick or quicker.
