Does the Browser close? If so its not an Internet connection problem. Otherwise there is restrictions on network usage.

Try it on another network. If it works on, for example, your broadband or wireless connection at home or at a coffee shop/internet cafe the problem is your computer (check for viruses, spyware, etc. with programs like Spybot and AVG Virus Scanner...both free)...otherwise chances are the office is cutting off the connection on purpose (for example, to disconnect hackers or people using your computer to launch attacks on other computers such as Distributed Denial of Service attacks).

You didn't mention what actually happens, does the network icon on taskbar show disconnected or your net is enabled but you can't surf.
If it says disconnected then theirs some cable fault otherwise you can increase the ideal time in the properties of the network connection in question. You can also try repairing it it works.

its sound like your internet is going into a time out. Try this out first turn off the pc and then the modem and any hubs/routers. Reboot...Now check your interenet settings in the control panel and look at the advance tab. Make sure everything is right as far as when they shut down or hiberates.. click apply then try. Good Luck
It everything is fine then call your ISP and tell them you interent is not connecting correctly.
