Definitely the montreal Canadiens.
1- Oldest team in professional hockey (meaning fans are loyals)
2- The Bell Centre (home arena) has the highest attendance capacity in the league (21273)
3- Last year, all games in Montreal were sold out. The streak continues... Now they're up to more than 70 sold out games (as of october 31st, 2006).

Us here in Montreal because if Detroit is really hockeytown then that would make Montreal the Vatican. Hockey is a religion here and that's why nodody really cared about the Expos or even the Alouettes (our CFL franchise). They only used to help us pass the time untill hockey season started. We're extremely loyal to the Habs even through the bad times (i.e: the Theodore era) and it's probably the only franchise where they could have built the Molson Center (now the Bell Center) right next door to Bordeau Prison and they'd still sell out every game.

Hands down the Alberta Fans! Both Calgary and Edmonton have the most amazingly loyal fans!
A little clarification Mc Tavish was find for what he said to the press after Mcgeugh horrible call when the Oilers were playing the Stars. Mac T was fined 10 000.00 and the fans of Edmonton started and call in radio campaign to raise the money to pay the fine. Mac T was touched and proud of his fans for supporting the team, but obliviously didn't take the money so the fans donated it to the Canadian Institute for the Blind!

I think the Best NHL team with the Best fans goes to the Detroit Red Wings. They have been in the Top 3 in attendance for the past 10 years and nobody can top that. Plus we are called HOCKEYTOWN. If you have ever been to Detroit and its suburbs theirs a hockey rink within 5miles in every direction, trust me. Its the greatest place for hockey in America. We are also pretty close to Canada, also a great hockey place.

The Leafs. To prove my point can you imagine any other NHL team that would still sell out every game after not winning the cup for 40 years. To further emphasize my point I will give another example. I went on a 5 hour road trip last month to Pittsburgh to watch my Leafs lose to the Penguins. Leaf Nation was out in full force and I would guess about 25% of the crowd were Leaf fans and we were just as loud as the home fans.

The Habs have the best fans in the world which is the reason why they sell out each and every game. When hockey is at the Bell Centre, a sold-out capacity crowd is 21,273 people, the largest capacity of any arena in the NHL.

Canadiens. I absolutely LOVE going to see them play the Lightning. Granted it is very hard for me to sit there and watch a game because I want to show off my Canadian pride, but I got to stick with the home team. Many Canadiens fans see the maple leaf on the back of my neck, and we get along and I get free drinks. Love them fans!!

The most diehard would be us Toronto fans because we're idiots :^) I would have to put Detroit up there and Minnesota. Colorado has sold out every game since they moved there from Quebec so I would think they hold the record (although it's pretty tough to get a Leafs or Canadians ticket).
