I'll try to be as specific as possible.

It's a soft rock song, and I believe it was a pop song at one point (probably the 90's). It sounds like a U2 song (the way the instruments are set up and volumized), but there's a lady singing, so of course it's a different singer or band. Before the chorus (between the verses and the chorus), the song will sort of break off/go quieter and the lady will sing "aaaahhh... ah ah ah ahhh ahhh", as though she's singing to just clear her mind (not yelling and it's not too smooth). As for the chorus, I don't remember much. I believe she talks about a dream or change... I think she's talking about trying to change someone... I'm not certain.

One other notable feature, it sounds sort of rustic. It has that 90's sound to it but it almost reminds me of Ireland on a rainy day (though I'm sure it's an American or British pop song). That might confuse people but.. yeah haha.

Any help appreciated!

Sounds like a song from the Cranberries. But without lyrics it is hard to say.
