The Beatles did the song and then everyone seemed to copy it...Elvis did, Willie Nelson, Patti Labelle...many many more.

Paul McCartney originally released that with the Beatles ... unless you're talking about the remake of it, then there's a few (to say the least) people who've done it. It's the number one most highly remade song out there!

"Yesterday" is by the Beatles. Paul McCartney sings it. It is the most covered song in history, do that might not be the version you are looking for, but it is the best one!
