Why degrade yourself with someone else's flag. Stand on your own two feet and design a whole new flag just for Australia without having to be subservient to a foreign country.

NO WAY! The union jack represents our British heritage! What does America have to do with the development of Australia!
I mean, America is great-i have heard, but America doesn't own everything.
If anything we should have a whole new flag designed which is uniquely Australian.
Also, we love the UK more!

I can tell you this much Australia has more in common with the United States nowdays than Britain does...especially in the West. We are all pioneer peoples.
