Both are linear equations.
___________________________________________

4x = 2y
y = 4x/2 = 2x

line with slope of 2.
__________________________________________

x - y = 0
y = x

line with slope of 1.

Which of these are linear equations?
4x = 2y
x - y = 0
The powers of both the variables x and y in the two equations are integers and in each term of the two equations, the sum of the powers of x and y is maximum one. So both are linear equations.

Both are linear equations..

they are in the form of y=mx
where m = slope

Both, since they can be written as y=mx + B;
4X=2Y OR Y= 2X +0, AND
Y =X + 0
Both produce a line when graphed!

Both

A linear equation is one with no square or higher powers of an unknown and their graphs are straight lines.

this applies to both these equations.
