I had unprotected sex with this guy December 23rd and since then I have been bleeding off and on very lightly occasionally and at first in between bleeding I would have brown discharge with no odor which has stopped now and I have been snacking a lot. I have never been on birth control and I bought a home pregnancy test January 11th and it came back negative but I am thinking it may have been to early to tell. The brown discharge has completely quit now, I do not have an STD. I am only 18. I always begin my period at the end of the month or at least by the first week of the month and didn't. Instead, it was just really light bleeding and spotting. Any suggestions?

If this is the first time you've had sex, this can be normal however, if it were me, I'd be off to the GP just to get it checked - better off to have peace of mind!

Go buy another at home pregnancy test again, but you do need to go to the doctor. Not all over the counter tests are accurate. JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE 18 DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU CANNOT GET AN STD IF YOU ARE HAVING SEX! There are some STD's that don't have external symptoms. and please do all of these things ASAP because the longer you wait, if you are pregnant, the more chance that your baby will have problems.

My question to you is "Did you contact the guy you had sex with on December 23rd and why in God's name did you put yourself at risk having unprotected sex?" STD's do not all have the same symptoms so don't rule it out unless you, intelligently, took the time to be examined by your doctor to rule this out.

Suggestions? Yeah, if you haven't been to the doctor yet, get the guy to go with you and rule out any STD's or other issues and quit having casual sex.

It could have been to soon to tell if you are pregnant through a home pregnancy test... I think that if you ahve not started by the time that you would have missed two periods you should see a gyn. they can do another pregnancy test and the ones that they do are more effective sooner than any over teh counter kind you could get.. If you are worried I think that you should go to the gyn as soon as possible... Good luck!!!

You need to take the pregnancy test again or go to your doctor and explain to them the situation and they can give you a pap and determine what exactly is wrong. Also...i don't know if your on birth control pills but that coul have something to do with it.
