Because most politicians in the world are corrupt. To illustrate that, just take a look at ours.

Politics in INDIA became an open treasure. Nobody is having an
interest to serve the nation. Just they are entering in to this field for earning money. They don't show any respect to law and order.There are lot of loopholes in our Indian judiciary system.They knew that how to escape from law. Their assets should be checked regularly. They think that they are monarchs and no body is going to ask them since they are rule makers and also rule breakers. Their powers should be minimised .For every service there is minimum qualification except for politics.
The powers of civil servants should be increased since they are the real implementers. There should be a provision that politicians should not overcome and dominate civil servants.
Immediate actions should be taken if they found guilty. Then only they will respect our judiciary. They should have fear while doing false things that there is a system that is watching regularly and there are chances to be caught

Its not the politicians but we Indians as a whole who are of "corrupt mind" . We choose our representatives based upon castesim etc. Once these chaps come to power they behave accordingly.
Like people like politicians.

When the world look at our politicians they feel a whole lot better about theirs.
I am not sure why India is corrupt.

In our nation, the punishment given to the corrupts were very less and there are many loop holes are available for them to escape from the punishment or to delay the punishment. As in the middle east countries, if punishments were very strict, corruption rate will decrease.

indian politicians dont know the power of honesty and its strength.
so they are corrupt.
we citizen should teach them the easiest way to power is honesty. then they will become honest.
very high cost of corruption should be understood by all of us, then onely we can correct the politicians.
