Rub cocoa butter OR oil- vitamin E oil has been proven to reduce marks- every morning and evening in a gentle massage. (Some people are allergic to cocoa butter, so test it first on a small area like wrist- wait a few hours- no redness, you are ok!) Baby oil is ok too, and any massage oil, but the cocoa and vit E have been studied and approved for use.
Talk to baby while you massage- it's nice and relaxing.

Also- watch the sweets. The more weight you gain, the more stretch marks you get!
Small price to pay for a wonderful baby at the end of the journey!:)

I use Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Strech Mark cream and It works. I have a couple of stretch marks because I was just gonna get them but I saw my first and immediately bought the cream. It also helps itchy bellies :-)

Good Luck and Congratulations!!!

There is something called "Mother's Friend" that comes in a little light blue plastic jar. Go to a pharmacy and ask them if they know what you're talking about. I'm a pharm tech and have heard many women swear by that stuff.

I, myself, would rub on vitamin E oil while in the bath and I have zero marks.

I work in a maternity store for two and a half years. stretch marks are hereditary and you can't prevent them ( they are cause by the collagen and elastin separating in your skin) sorry. you can; however, relieve the effects by using a product that moisturizes. just be careful if you already have sensitive skin you can be even more sensitive when pregnant.

Stay hydrated. Use a moisturizing oil first thing when you get out of the shower and your skin is still damp. And, most importantly, DON'T Scratch!

you should start putting lotions or cream in your tummy as early as the first day of your pregnancy.petroleum jelly will help but it has some kind of uncomfortable feeling because it its so sticky.

Strivectin SD. It's really expensive, but it works.
