It doesn't to me. It is obvious that Iran has the upper hand in Iraq and Bush will have to negotiate with them to get a face-saving exit. He is merely trying to gain a position of strength before that negotiation, with his belligerence.
When they made up lies about Iraq on the other hand, it was frightening because it was obvious how many Democrats and other influential people wanted him to attack Iraq regardless of the evidence.
It is not that way with Iran. Bush doesn't even have a majority of Republicans behind him for his surge policy. If he attacks Iraq, he will have basically nobody behind him.

Somebody gave Bush an open check book to spend , spend , spend , and he's doing a pretty good job of worrying about other countries , while our own people struggle to make ends meet . He keeps saying that the responsibility will fall on him......no matter what the outcome is . But remember this ....." HE'S NOT FOOTING THE BILL" .....the WORKING CLASS ( the same folks he works so hard to SCREW ) IS .

Your Iranian neighbor is right here through authorities of Iran. I actually have had Iranian pals too and they at the starting up say they are Persians because Iran's authorities is a source of concern and embarrassment. Iran is the only which will dictate it truly is own destiny by cooperating or terminating the Nuclear application no man or woman quite believes has been suspended. Israel is extra likely to strike than us and performance bought mandatory guns. the u . s . will be dragged right into a conflict if Iran makes sturdy on it truly is threats and could be only hit many times. reality study it truly is totally no longer an Iraq challenge or Afghanistan the position we take over. it truly is going to likely be an air and some sea conflict with restricted engagements alongside the Iraq border. Iran will without delay lose it truly is scuffling with ability and could sue for peace as against humiliating defeat.

Realize, if he is first to attack Iraq, he will be doing it as a result of a UN Resolution, all of which can be policed by any member of the security council. The same thing happened with Iraq, but no one spoke of the fact that the Resolutions that were passed against Iraq's Weapons program led to the escalation.
The key is to stop thinking about it as Bush's war...or war mongering... That is giving way too much credit to the Media Elite, who want nothing more than to guarantee that the Republicans are knocked out in '08. If you buy into the "Bush is attacking" mumbo jargon you have not done your homework and that is exactly what the News Media expects. Why? People are too busy working to survive to do any real concrete research to back up their suppositions. We are in a disinformation age in which the manner in which a question or poll is conducted or phrased determine the slant in which the results are determined by the media as necessary to lean.
It is important to remain objective about War. And the rules of War have morphed and tightened as a result of the UN's policies. Why not instead, ask yourself...have you ever voted on a UN Resolution? Have you ever read one? Do you understand the UN charter, its role, its security mechanism, its bureaucracy, its methodology? If the answer to all of those questions is "No", which it probably is, you have to ask...why don't I know more? Why isn't the news educating me? Is it because the UN destroys Democracy by imp[osing policy without representation through election...and expending tax payer income without representation? Didn't the founders of this country fight a war over that?
It is not about who the president has as backing...he is a lame duck President. We know they are going to institute a draft because the Media is fed up with volunteer service...they need victims to guarantee a firestorm in Washington DC...they have to have a draft...by next summer it is guaranteed. The war with Iran is inevitable. We will not negotiate with lunatic Dictators...we will not buy them off. The reason there is any stink about it at all, is because for the last 20 years our diplomatic core allowed the dictators and terrorists of the world (mainly muslims) to use the UN as a personal ATM. And until we have a media that wants to expose that...rather than worrying over John Mark Karr...well, get ready when we strike Iran in 2009...North Korea in 2010...Venezuela in 2011...and you can bet on Israel being a sandy spot on a Map by that year as well.
The most important part of analysis is being objective and elemental...the opposite of that is subjective and fundamental because most people pay half attention for thirty minutes a day to what is going on. However with this new age we are in...to make any judgments before researching the reality is folly...because with the advent of the internet, wave radio, and now You Tube...we are smack dab in the middle of "The Age of DisInformation".
A War is coming in this country. In the sanctuary cities...they will think it is a gang problem at first...then they will realize it is coordinated...then they will realize that they are funded and backed and following orders...then this country will be forced to protect its law officers in the war against the insurgents... The coming war for America is not Iraq or Palestine or Iran... The real test will be at home in our major cities... And it will be a race war.
Good luck.

No, what worries me is how people like you stupidly deny the fact that Iran is a threat, and has been sponsoring part of the terrorism in Iraq!
And Bush didn't make up lies about Iraq. The Anti-War Movement did! The truth is being hidden by them, and THAT is the only reason your side won!

"If he attacks Iraq, he will have basically nobody behind him."
We are in Iraq, why would we attack a country we are already in?
Edit: Thank you for clarifying and for being so nice about it.
I hope that Iran doesn't have the upper hand in Iraq. I sincerely hope that they decide to leave Iraq alone. I have no doubt that we will go to war with Iran as well if they decide to intere with Iraq.

The US will not attack Iran.....
I think the Israelis will go into Iran with nuclear tipped missiles so that they can go down deep and take out the nuclear components. Israel cannot afford to let Iran have nuclear weapons since Ahmadine wack job wants to wipe Israel off the map.

I can understand Bush's need to protect the Mideast, but he has limited negotiating skills and doesn't use them anyway. Rice is a just flying around talking with nothing to show for it...I'm sure Bush gives her no real tools other than sabre rattling.
My fear is that he will push things to the utmost, stretching our military and the budget given to him by Congress that is becomes impossible to extracate ourselves with any dignity with doubling the military budget for the next president....He's gonna push this for all he's got. His ego may get us into big trouble

If he can somehow get Iran to attack us first it might work. Maybe Israel has told us if we don't take out Iran's nuke factories they may do it. Hope not. Israel is our boss.
