Depends on who. I like Barack Obama, although not as much as BEFORE he voted for Gates to replace Rumsfeld; Gates seems just as bad. I don't like Hillary Clinton because of her hawkish outlook, and her stands on health care, which demonstrated that she was in the pocket of the insurance industry last time she delved into that area.
So, if those are the two choices, I'm with you: yes and no

We should focus on the experience of the candidates & what they consider our major problems to be & how they plan to fix those problems.
The sex or ethnicity of those candidates should be irrelevent.
I think Obama will be a great candidate for president, just not this time around. He's too young.
I personally think Hillary is too liberal.
