Tori has to be easily in the top 3. He hits, has some power. Good on the basepaths and is by far covers the most ground of any centerfielder today.

In terms of overall talent and ability Torri is among the top, I would say Andruw Jones is at the top of the list among Center fielders based on the fact that he's the best 5 tool CF in the game currently followed closely by Vernon Wells but I'd rank Hunter right after those two.

Center fielders he is ranked number two. Only Andruw Jones is a better CF in my opinion. Last year there were better performances (i.e Vernon Wells) but Hunter has been great for a few years. He can hit the longball, he's not gonna be in the 500 homer club, but he may hit around 200-300 in his career. He doesn't hit for a very high average (.269 in his career) but he is an excellent fielder. He judges the ball very well, and is always on the highlights reel. It's a shame he's only been on one All-Star team.

I'm a Twins fan and I love Torii Hunter but there is no way he's a top 5 CF, period.
Defensively he has won six straight Gold Gloves and proven his worth as one of the top three defensive CFs in the game, but offensively he doesn't bring a whole lot to the table.
He is a career .269 hitter. His K-to-HR ratio is nearly 5-to-1. His legs (primarily his ankles and knees) are deteriorating from playing on the awful Metrodome turf his entire career so he has lost some speed. His on-base percentage is ridiculously low because he doesn't draw enough walks.
Plus he's thirty and with his health and the way he plays he probably has at best three to four productive years left before he hits his decline phase and for a player of his caliber--low batting average, low on-base percentage, high strikeouts, moderate power--the decline phase will come fast and hard.
Top CFs
-Andruw Jones
-Carlos Beltran
-Vernon Wells
-Ichiro (he is officially moving to CF)
-Grady Sizemore
-Johnny Damon
-Curtis Granderson
-Torii Hunter
-Mike Cameron
-Coco Crisp
-Ken Griffey Jr
-Jim Edmonds
-Mark Kotsay
-Juan Pierre
-Kenny Lofton
-Dave Roberts
-Willy Taveras
-Chris Young
-Gary Matthews Jr

Torii's most definitely on of the top CFs today. It's because of his aggressiveness. He's always making difficult plays and I'm a White Sox, and I think he's the toughest guy in minnesota Twins to get an out for the White Sox pitching.

Injuries and inconsistent hitting have pushed him out of the elite center fielder category. Maybe with the emergence of Mauer and Morneau some pressure will be off of him and he can become a little better hitter.

i imagine Ryan Braun must be 17. Raul Ibanez ought to flow up couple numbers. Even Youkilis flow down 5 numbers. Hmm… I’m not particular about Ichiro Suzuki. What did Ryan Zimmerman ever do to do deserve 100? variety 30 must be eliminated. no human being benefits 10 better than Robinson Cano. i guess Jonathan Broxton were given the perfect placement on the record. i love Shin Soo-Choo, the call. Aramis must be above Joey. solid questioning on putting Alex at variety AHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Hunter, i just cant see the Twins without this guy.
I don't know where i would rank him, but he definately is a great guy.
He can hit the HR, he can throw, dive, steal HR, hes fast, hes practically everything you would wish in a centerfielder... if only he was 4 years younger.
