Please help me! It is in the negative temps here and my washing machine is leaking all over! I have at least 12 loads to do. The washer has not been used in 8 months and is up against an outdoor facing wall. Could the pump or valves be frozen and if so, what is the remedy? A plumber or appliance guy? I am at a loss.
My neighbor told me hers and her mother's are "frozen". What does this mean? Can anyone help me understand this? It is so freaking cold here, I just cannot believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you won't be doing the laundry tonight. the water valve, pump, and some of the hoses do hold water. and they could have frozen if they got cold enough. you could have a burst pipe in the plumbing also. i would shut off the water valves and unplug the machine. try to make the wash room warmer so the pipes don't burst if they haven't already. then call an appliance repairman in the morning. good luck.

I would guess that the rubber gaskets/bushings in the pump are frozen and cracked.

Get another washer

Yep, sounds like your water line/pipe probably froze & busted, get a plumber. But shut the water off first, if you know how!
