Actually, all of them is the same from inside.... but different from outside,... I would go with York , Rheem, Lennox, Trane...etc but I don't like Carrier.... it's not a good quality unit.

Most are pretty good my vote is for Rheem but Maytag is good . Make sure you have a good installer. That's where most of the problems start. Also look at warranty and what they cover and for how long. A parts only warranty might not do you much good. Maytag is usually quite good about their warranty...a real plus if you have a problem.

I don't like Carrier either. The ones the earlier answer mentioned are all good. I have Amana in my house, and like it as well.
