I think I'm beginning to understand the crazy left-winger.
Person A hates Bush and the Republican values he supposedly stands for. (Its a myth Bush is Liberal.) Person A sees that "Terrorists" (Terrorism is a tactic and not an enemy the whole idea is reticules.) Terrorist=Islamo-Fascist hate GW Bush. The adage that "The enemy of my enemy is my Friend", runs through the craze's head (The fact that the Islamic fanatic would kill or convert him had he an occasion to meet his new "buddy" never occurs to him.) and he decides that the good guy is the Terrorist because America is always the bad guy. He pretends that there is no connection between Sept 11Th and the US invading Iraq and his left-wing Media enforces his willful ignorance. Thus , he views the war in Iraq as an invasion and "colonialism" and now the Indian is the counterpart of the Terrorist. Now I'm not saying that their is no a racist element to this, for it is a well established fact (Known only to smart and observant people.) that when ever a liberal (Especially a well to do white one.) brings a up a minority it is for the sole purpose of dividing his countrymen against one and other for his political gain. (Keep in mind that most American Indians tend to be patriotic and have served in the military and tend to vote Republican.) So my hypothisis is that this carzy little racist liberal is attempting to use this comparison to create a wadge between Americans becuase he thinks such a cleavage will lead to his political end which is a withdrawal from Iraq. What do you think?
Well that is true the Idians were bad people but they learned scalping from other bad people (The French). Hell, if it wasn't for bad people they wouldn't be people at all. Mankind is evil from the fall, his very history is full of that fact.

Terroism depends on what side you are on. Native Americans used by the French might have been called terroists, but in the American Revolution, I wonder how many Americans were considered terrorists by the British population. Seems the victor is the one who defines who the terrorist is. But native americans IN MY OPINION were never terrorists. Hard question to answer.

Freedom fighters are the ones who win.
Terrorists are the ones who lose or haven't won yet.
Americans won against the Brits, so they were freedom fighters.
Indians lost..terrorists
When the Israelis fought the Brits in 1948, they were terrorists, then they won and become freedom fighters. They took land from the Palestinians, the Palestinians fight back, but are terrorists because they haven't won yet.
The Mao Mao in Kenya were terrorists against the Brits, but they won are now freedom fighters.
The blacks in South Africa were terrorists, but they won......
Somebody mentioned reading history books. They might want to take that advice themselves. There are hundreds of examples of the above.
Are the IRA terrorists? They were in southern Ireland until they won. The IRA in northern Ireland??? Mmmmm, not terrorists anymore, because the Brits let them all out of jail. I think that they are becoming freedom fighters.
Not pretty, but unfortunately, that's how to be "free"

I'd rather refer to my ancestors as freedom fighters, but that's just me. As sovereign governments, we did make treaties with the US government, we're the only 'race' named in the US Constitution as a domestic sovereign government, our governments have been recognized since the beginning days of the US government. Sure there were treaties broken, but most of the wrongs have been remedied via land claims in federal court during the last 60 years...now were making headway by taking your casino bets (at least some of us).

Well that is a switch? ha ha ha ha From who's perspective the intruder? The people that wanted to conquer and take their lives and possessions? Oh sure they were terrorists Not! They were primitive and fought in the way the only way they knew how against those mass soldiers with guns and canon fire? Hello in the Army, Navy, Marines, and the Air Force we are trained to improvise. And covert activities too? Personally I think they improvised and to protect their teepees I would do it too.

not by a long shot. if anyone was the terrorist group then it would definitely be the European " invaders " who came over to Turtle Island and took it over. read your history books about how the Europeans deliberately gave the Indigenous People disease infected blankets, firewater and other debilitating items in order to steal or take what they wanted. the only real " treaty " these European " invaders " kept with the 500 Nations was " we see what you have. we want it and we are going to take everything. "

ha! far cry from terrorists, they were fighting for what they had laid claim to far before anybody else was around, cheifs turned on each other, some tribes claim that other tribes sold land that was not theirs, and on top of all of it because they felt america was theirs anybody else was tresspassing and could be killed for it,wich bred hate on all sides, along with fear and paranoia wich all lead to some interesting decisions in history
