Kinda wierd set in west country. Everyone said "Happy Day". Or am I just losing it?

Ian Cuthbertson played the controlling squire. It was a serial over six episodes about the controlling power of a stone circle surronding a village. The squire able to exert some mind control over the inhabitants and a big energy beam to or from the heavens was a big plot twist in the final episode.. Didn't people get turned into the stones in the last episode.
The boy and girl leads went on to star in a kids on the run serial a year later called 'Follow Me'

Yes around 1977 about a scientist and his son arriving at a sleepy English village controlled by the village squire, Hendrick, who has the village gripped by weird psychic powers. Show didn't last very long

NO yet I save in recommendations the 'memories from the unpredicted' episode the position everybody who visited a hotel homestead rubbed their hands mutually and suggested 'Marvellous Marvellous'. That Episode and the baby catcher from Chitty Chitty bang bang are very puzzling factors of my childhood :( sob!!
