Good luck finding anything for free down here! It's usually a quarter per half hour at the meters. Any nice hotel is going to charge for parking. Any hotel near the water is most certainly going to charge for parking! I'd expect to pay minimum $10 per day for parking...seems to be a common practice in big cities now.

Some hotels do charge for parking, but it's usually stated on their website for that specific location.

www.hilton.com
www.marriott.com

These two brands tell you if parking is extra. Sometimes Travelocity will tell you if it's free or not in their hotel profile.

That sucks. I would ask them when you are booking. Or try to stay a little more north like Pompano Beach, Deerfield Beach. It's only 20 mins.
