There are these easy to read books and they are sooooo interesting.
The Edge Chronicles and the Deltora Quest books. The left Behind series for kids is also very well written and yes, harry potter. My grandson is 8 and has been reading Harry Potter so I think a 6th grader would love them too. Eragon is also good to read. Movies are okay but books are so much better to build imagination and creativity and brain cells.
