I'll be in Sao Paulo for just one day before I leave to Rio de Janeiro...so in order not to go with my suitcases around the city,,,where should I leave them?
Is there a especial company that would keep them for a day? maybe at Guarulhos airport?
How much would they charge?

Guarulhos airport has lockers available for a small fee, you don't need to call ahead to reserve or anything, when you arrive just ask someone from your airline carrier and they will be more than glad to help you.....Have a great time in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

There are lockers in Guarulhos Airport. They are called "guarda-volumes" and the company's name is "Malex".

It will cost you for one day (till midnight day you leave your stuff):
R$ 12,- big suitcase
R$ 8,- medium suitcase
R$ 7,- small suitcase
You can leave your luggage as long as you need.
[R$ = real = local currency / 1USD = R$ 2,50 - 16 January 2007]

The luggage storages are located in terminal 1 as well as in terminal 2, in the external area, arrival sector.

Take taxis only in official points, as the airport or hotels. Taking a taxi on a street may cost you a not so fun roundtrip and a lot of money.
The airport is approximately 25km from city centre, so it may take you about half an hour, 40 minutes by taxi.

We do not have trains here like they are in Europe, so don't bother searching for lockers in any train station.
