I lived in Illinois, and made about $100 in W-2 wages in January 2006. I permantely moved to Florida in February 2006. Do I need to file an IL state income tax return?

If you received a W2 from the company you worked for in Illinois, yes.

Not sure what the tax rate in Illinois is but I can't see them coming after you for $6 or $7. I wouldn't worry about it. You might want to contact the state tax department and tell them that you moved the first part of 2006 and are no longer an IL resident.

If you had no income for 2010, you don't have to file a 2010 return.

Any time you make money in a state you need to declare it on your taxes for federal and that state. Since it's such a small amount you may get it all the taxes you paid there back.

When I moved to FL from PA I called the PA tax office and was told I did not have to file in PA.
