Homelessness also has many aspects. There are many homeless people who would not choose homelessness; but they don't have the means to pay ever increasing rents.
The most publcized are those "welfare bums" who are on drugs and boose and nicotin, and who live on the taxpayers' purse.
The least publicized are the working poor who need every penny they earn just to feed their family.
There are a few categories inbetween. The involuntary homeless people hve been effectively "expropriated" by the "right to own property" which gives housing to the highest bidder and leaves the loser go empty. Winner takes all! That's our capitalistic society, which ignores that there are no winners unless there are losers.
Social justice is supposed to mean equal rights for all. It SHOULD also mean equal responsibilities toward all.

In N.Z. money is free, just sign up on welfare and you receive $130 per week and $100 more for each child you may have. WINZ (people who gives you this money) will PAY a tertiary provider so you can further your education. All the while they will find you a JOB. These guys will also GIVE YOU $250 so you can buy a suit to attend that job intereview. Furthermore they will PAY for or subsidise rent on your home and also furnishings.
Housing NZ will GIVE you a house, just sign up.
N.Z. medical care is free to low income earners.
Lawyers are free, just apply for legal aid.
A MAJORITY of the homeless have family who are prepared to take them in.
My question is not to judge the homless but rather "why are they homeless?". My only assumption is that they prefer this life of living under bridges, bumming cigarettes & money, stealing whatever they can, being eternally drunk & generally being a burden on society.
However, N.Z. still have the usual charitable organizations that provide free meals, bed, clothes, councilling and other services (this just perpetuates the whole homeless thing if you ask me)

the actuality is, you're actually unable to picking something solid by using your self, because you're spiritually ineffective in sin and can't do what's solid. in case you're susceptible in the direction of Jesus Christ, it demonstrates the artwork of the Holy Spirit of the father maximum well known you to Christ, to the tip you need to be saved, replaced in nature, and enabled to serve God with a real and honest coronary heart and a sparkling ethical experience. Salvation isn't any small miracle. purely God could make a silk handbag out of a sow's ear. "end grumbling between yourselves," Jesus responded. "no possible come to me till the father who sent me attracts him, and that i will enhance him up on the final day." John 6:40 3-40 4 yet once you argue that God isn't drawing you to salvation and you need to as a result be exonerated, it holds no water. you're interior the area of a heroin addict who has murdered somebody to get money to help his addiction and pleads innocence, asserting his drug addiction forced him to it. yet it became he who sooner or later positioned a needle into his arm, while no possible make him do it. Now he faces the end results of his determination. So is each guy who has chosen the direction of sin.

You're right, we are no better than they are. I try to acknowledge them so they know they are not invisible. If I have a piece of fruit or some food, I will often give them some. I don't get why people are so angry at homeless people, it is really sad.

I don't judge them. For some, circumstances beyond their control occurred that caused them to be where they are, that's pretty tough. I also realize, something like that could happen to anyone if a plentiful source of money and/or support from others is not available to sustain in hard times.
