This song's fairly recent, less than 4 years old. It has a thumping kick drum and a 7 cord bass. I don't remember any of the lyrics but I remmeber the lyrics all sounded kinda faint and in the background like someone was talking through a megaphone. ANy help would be appreciated. The beat and lyrics are very consistent throughout the entie song.

You give a very vague description, but I'm guessing that you might be talking about a White Stripes song - Seven Nation Army. Most of their songs have a thumping kick, an easy riff or bass line and vocals that are produced to sound like they were recording in a garage. Hope this helps!

Its very likely that it was The White Stripes, however, Papa Roach tends to use megaphones in a few of their songs.

It is Seven Nation Army by the white stripes.....the name of the song comes from when Jack White was kid he couldn't say the word "Salvation" Army he pronounced it "Seven"
