Absolutely! I saw those lights hanging around Phoenix some years back. I can't explain it...but whatever it was, the military sure wasn't doing testing like they claim!!!

UFO stands for Unidentified Flying Object. Therefore, if you have seen an object in the sky that you cannot identify, then you have seen a UFO.

What you meant to ask is, "Does anyone believe that some UFOs, in fact, alien spacecraft?"

No, I do not.

So far we've seen no verifiable evidence of other sentient species. That said, I believe with some certainty that somewhere in our galaxy at some past, present, or future time, a sentient species did/does/will exist.

Why haven't we heard from them?

Perhaps they are not technologically advanced enough to be heard. They may be mastering stone knives right now, or experiencing their own Rennaisance.

Perhaps they are here right now. Any species sufficiently advanced to travel interstellar distances would be able to hide or masquerade with ease. That Boeing 737 that just flew by may be a surveillance craft.

Perhaps they are so far away they will never notice us and vice versa.

Perhaps they existed a million years ago and died out.

Perhaps they will exist a million years from now.

It is really impossible to know for sure.

The Drake Equation suggests that there is sentient life out there. The Fermi Paradox casts doubt. Play around with the calculation form at the second link and see what you think.

Technically, a UFO is any unidentified object in the sky. That being the case, YES!

I am sure there are lost of unidentified flying objects; if I do not know what something is, then it is not identified, right?

Does this mean it is a ship for another planet, however? And that, I answer NO.

I believe there are objects that are not identified -- for whatever reason -- but I believe that none of those are ships from an alien planet.

Every time we hear something about UFOs it is speculation, no one has proved to us that they really exist - so no I don't believe until they show me differently

Yes, I've seen a real strange one hovering very close to the ground and moving at a snails pace...It was huge compared to other airplanes or helicopter's. And silent to my ears....

Yes. There are lots of Flying Objects that are unidentified.
I wonder if any of them have an extraterrestial origin.

A rather condescending question.

Absence of evidence IS NOT evidence of absence!! (Carl Sagan??)

Why couldn't there be?
