After the last election, the worries about the neocons have subsided. In 2008 we'll have a sane president again, if we don't impeach Bush before then. The right wingers are a danger. So are some of the posters here, like the guy who thinks this was a country "tamed" by Christianity--Jesus would not have approved of the treatment of the American Indians. Nor were the founding fathers fundamentalists. Thomas Jefferson was not a religious man, and his writings were the foundation of our country. Anyone who says otherwise is as uninformed as the guy who said you were.

The evangelists of a strict Christian interpretation have had their say in the US and the US is not buying into it. The moderate Christian viewpoint tends to be successful as the country's leaders.

I doubt if the atheist or agnostic view will catch on. We are still one nation under God.

i fail to see any humor or sense from your stupid remarks and i will ask you what the hell is wrong with the Christan faith, the Christan's built the strongest nation ever on earth, out of a damned wilderness with a enemy behind every bush, but they perserved, all with a rifle over one shoulder and a bible under the other arm, they gave us the best and freest country and the best constitution in the world, they even gave protection for sh..heads such as you , who hasn't got enough sense to appreciate it, you need to be in Iran or some other third world country for a while at lest , I am sure you have a PHD or other higher education title, but be careful with your demonstration of intellect, your ignorance is showing

The USA is was drifting away from christianity, now that boat is under power and running at high speed. Liberalism is rampant in the USA.
