ok, I'm wondering if I could get a motorola q or treo 650 (not decided yet) from verizon wireless without the internet hook-up. I know internet is the point of the phone but I wouldnt have much use for it. Also does it cost xtra $$ a month to have a phone like this?????? (any hidden or extra fees etc etc.)

Honestly, They will probably not sell the smart phone without the data package. You will have to pay full retail cost for the phone if you don't elect to carry the package. If you decide to go with one of the two I would probably choose the Q. The treo is great, but the 650 is the older version of the treo. You would want a treo 700w or 700p if you were going to get that phone. Keep in mind the windows operating system on all phones is kinda quirky with bluetooth headsets. The phone is pretty useless without the data package it would be crazy to pay that much for a phone if you were not going to use it to its full potential. I would alteast try out the data service for a few months. It's great! I know, I have an Alltel Treo700w with our data service. Wonderful! Love anything windows!
