Take the train. The "Gamblers' Express" (NJ Transit) runs out of 30th station to Atlantic City. The whole trip takes about an hour and a half and is probably going to be more comfortbale than a bus.

You can go to 10th and Filbert (behind the Gallery Mall) and find the Greyhound bus station. There you can buy a round trip ticket to Atlantic City. If you buy the $18 ticket, you can get a $15 refund from Bally's Casino! The buses run regularly. There are several each day to and from the casinos. The bus will take you right to the door of the casino and pick you up there as well. It takes about 90 minutes each way.
